During a recent episode of #InnestTalk, I engaged in an insightful discussion with Hau Min, former 988 DJ currently pursuing a master's degree in counselling psychology. Our conversation revolved around coping mechanisms for anxiety, with one particularly powerful method being self-inquiry.

Here are some point of view that we have discussed inside the show:

When you're feeling anxious, it's natural to want to talk to someone. However, it's important to choose your confidant wisely. A good listener can help you feel heard and understood, but sometimes, venting can actually intensify your anxiety.

Instead of focusing solely on venting, try asking yourself some probing questions:

"What am I nervous about?"

"What am I afraid of?"

"What am I worried about?"

By delving deeper into your emotions, you can often pinpoint the root cause of your anxiety. Once you identify the problem, it often feels less overwhelming.

For example, if you're feeling anxious about money, acknowledging that fear can help you take steps to address it.

Remember, self-questioning is a powerful tool for managing anxiety. By understanding the source of your discomfort, you can better cope with it and find healthier ways to move forward.
